Lumin Music Systems has unveiled the Lumin X2, heralded as the first flagship model to showcase the fastest processor to date. This advancement follows years of intensive in-house research and development, culminating in the introduction of an innovative discrete DAC that marks a significant milestone in Lumin's digital evolution. The power supply is intentionally linear and designed in a separate enclosure to enhance performance. Every aspect of the new DAC is crafted with precision, utilizing individually selected components that allow for meticulous optimization of the circuit topology, power delivery, clock speed, and signal integrity.
The discrete architecture permits the direct integration of clock and conversion stages without the need for intermediate frequency dividers, resulting in exceptional timing accuracy and minimized jitter across the signal path. This stable framework, combined with Lumin's proprietary streaming engine, lays the foundation for the next generation of this flagship design. The separate power supply enclosure incorporates a toroidal transformer, with dedicated lines for both digital and analog circuits, while the analog circuit benefits from a dual mono configuration to ensure maximum channel separation.

Enhancing the audio experience is the symmetrically built analog output stage, outfitted with dual Lundahl output transformers. Additionally, the X2 maintains the lossless volume control technology based on LEEDH Processing, a cutting-edge algorithm recognized for its elimination of rounding errors during digital volume adjustments. It supports all standard file formats and resolutions, as well as various streaming services and Internet radio. The Lumin X2 is available in both black anodized aluminum and raw anodized aluminum finishes.
