Danish Bang & Olufsen has introduced the Beosound Premiere, an extraordinary soundbar that not only delivers an immersive three-dimensional sound experience but also serves as a visual centerpiece. Designed with precision, the Beosound Premiere features the innovative Wide Stage Technology, ensuring exceptional sound quality that reflects Bang & Olufsen's century-long legacy of acoustic and design excellence. According to Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen, the Beosound Premiere transcends conventional soundbars, acting as a sculptural masterpiece that transforms audio into an emotional interaction while embodying timeless design principles. Crafted from pure aluminum, the soundbar's development is the outcome of close collaboration between Bang & Olufsen’s design team and Factory 5 in Struer, Denmark. Unlike traditional soundbars that conceal their drivers, this model prominently displays them, aligning with Bang & Olufsen's philosophy of designing from the inside-out. The sleek aluminum frame boasts a matte satin finish, achieved through meticulous engineering that combines extruded aluminum with bespoke end caps to maintain a streamlined appearance while housing ten high-performance drivers. A standout feature is the central upward-firing tweeter, designed to catch the eye like a precious jewel, adorned with 1,925 precise perforations that commemorate the brand's foundational year. With ten custom-designed drivers—including a dedicated upward-firing unit—the Beosound Premiere creates a rich spatial sound, enveloping the listener in a 360-degree audio experience.
Utilizing Bang & Olufsen’s Wide Stage Technology, it enhances the perceived soundstage, allowing for crystal-clear dialogue and captivating soundscapes that make movies and music come alive. The soundbar automatically adjusts to its environment, ensuring an exemplary acoustic performance tailored to any space. It can function independently or as a prominent part of a larger audio system, with the capability of integrating additional Bang & Olufsen speakers through Beolink Surround. Featuring a fully integrated Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 surround decoder, it enables progressive expansion for a truly immersive cinematic experience. The design also incorporates 90 responsive LEDs that transform the soundbar into a dynamic visual experience, illuminating the product subtly based on user adjustments. The commitment to craftsmanship is further highlighted by the Beosound Premiere’s Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze status, emphasizing durability and sustainability. To celebrate the launch, Bang & Olufsen has also unveiled a limited Haute Edition of the soundbar, created in a run of just 25 units worldwide. With a unique pattern carved through a meticulous milling process, this edition enhances the auditory experience by visually representing sound waves, complete with individualized engravings and a luxurious Beoremote One packaged in a handcrafted wooden box.
Available in Natural Aluminium, Gold Tone, and Black Anthracite, the standard Beosound Premiere retails for $4,900, with various interchangeable fabric and wood covers available to enhance its aesthetic. The Haute Edition is offered at a premium price of $13,000. Starting today, customers can find the Beosound Premiere in select Bang & Olufsen stores, with pre-orders and deliveries expected soon.
